Travancore Medical College, Kollam

Travancore Medical College, Kollam is a Minority Educational Institution as declared by the National Commission of Minority Educational Institutions, New Delhi vide its Certificate dated 11/03/2014. It is established by ‘Quilon Medical Trust’, Kollam (Registration No.221/2003) in the academic year 2009-2010. The College offers MBBS Courses and Post Graduate Medical MD/MS Courses, Recognized by the National Medical Commission and affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences. The teaching hospital attached to the College is the ‘Travancore Medical College Hospital’ which is a well-known tertiary care hospital in Kerala State situated at ‘Travancore Medicity’ adjacent to Kollam City, the Cashew Capital of the World. The College campus lies by the side of Kollam NH Bypass in Mylapore of Thazhuthala Village, Thattamala P.O., Kollam -691020, 7 Kms from Kollam Railway Station, 8 Kms from Kollam KSRTC Bus Station and 60 Kms from Trivandrum International Airport. The Medical College & Hospital renders Medical education to deserving poor students at concessional rates and treatment to deserving patients at concessional rates irrespective of caste and creed. The institution so conducts free medical camps involving specialist doctors in various branches for the benefit of the poor and needy and provides free treatments or at a concessional rate, to patients in association with the Muslim Association, Kollam and other similar charitable organizations.

Travancore Medical College Hospital and Super Specialty Hospital is the first fully NABH Accredited Medical College Hospital in Kollam, Kerala granted by the Quality Council of India as well as an ISO 9001-2008 Certified Health Care Provider. We are expertise in the field of Medicine and Medical Research with Specialty and Super Specialty Services, functioning under Quilon Medical Trust since 2007branded as Travancore Medicity, dedicated to a vision “To improve the health, well being and happiness of each patient with convenient and timely access to quality healthcare by providing the highest standard of treatment protocol”. We offer Medical schooling in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBBS) and Post-Graduate degree under Travancore Medical College and Bachelor of Nursing degree (B.Sc Nursing) under Travancore College of Nursing, functioning in the Travancore Medicity Campus. We are one of the renowned centres in the state, with a total strength of 900 beds. We cater for almost all speciality and super speciality departments with highly qualified and experienced professionals working to give the utmost care with the support of all pre and para-clinical facilitations and allied services.
